I was just watching the show Trucks on TNN and he showed a 15 second clip of a paint called Exotic Crystal. It goes over the original paint in a black covering and then you do something after that to complete it. What it looks like when done looks completely amazing!

Anyone know where we can get a pic of this process? The final was like a spider web paint and would look incredible on our cars.

Try this site and see if it is what you're talking about. http://www.xoticcolours.com If you click on the "whats new" link it has the Crystal you're talking about. Very Cool!!! I don't even want to no what it will add to cost though.
If you go to bottom of page and click the "more photos" they show some other colors.;)

There is another technique that produces similar results.

Paint a base coat of Black.

Shoot the color coat of your choice.

Use a plastic trash bag to pull some of the paint off while it is wet.

Clear coat.

I've seen this done using House of Kolor's Kameleon Paint. Way cool!

yes, I also saw that on trucks, it looks so cool (especially with their red and black) but it looks like it was raised above the surface. was it?
