my new front bumper (from jared) doesnt want to work for me, the brackets go on and the bumper covers the front nicely, but doesnt cover the sides its drawn out a few inches from the bolt slot and when I force it to line up it leaves a large gap at the upper half of the sides. any ideas?

You are aware that there is an adjustment where the bracket joins the frame of the car? I just installed my bumpers after getting them back from NuChrome (outstanding chrome job, see pictures in my gallery!) and had to loosen and push the bracket all the way back to get all the holes to line up.

no, I think the world is against me...well at least the bumper is the front of it lines up great but where it curls around the sides of the front I can line up the holes but the "top" of the bumper (the part that is most visible, the "bottom" faces the ground) is very far away from the car itself like 3 inches and looks especially bad (the rivits screwed me over) ill post a pic later.

Check your bumper support. They seem to get bent easily.

I didnt want to make a new thread so does any one have a good way to sand the hood vents? ya know those hard to sand ridge vent thingys. help would be great because im using 80 grit by hand and its hardly working.

paint removal

A wire wheel in an electric drill will get most of the paint off.Just make sure it is a soft wire wheel

when i was at carlisle yesterday there was a guy selling alot of tools and auto stuff (like there isnt more than one ) and he had car shop dollies which ive been meaning to get for a while. harbor freight has them for $125 + 3 months shipping I got them for $58 brand new in the box, they dont push like a shopping cart but the do the job.
