I noticed that while running I had a slight oil leak. When I got under to check it looked like it was coming from the fuel pump. I tightened the bolts, but it still leaked. Ordered new gaskets and installed them today. While the pump was off I cleaned it and the surounding area before re-installing. Started the car and it still leaked! When I checked the pump again I noticed that on the bottom side closet to the block there is a notch in the pump cover. Could the source of my leak be this notch? It only leaks when running and is not bad but still makes a mess.

Anyone with Ideas?

Fuel pump leak

The notch at the bottom of the fuel pump housing is a bleed hole if the internal membrane of the pump is leaking. Had the same problem :( , but a new pump fixed it. Think this is discussed in another thread, do a search on fuel pump. :) A new pump is cheap, or you could get the blind cover and install an electric pump. Good luck!!
