After giving up on getting my battery box, I went in and ripped out the metal that remained above the fuse box. Then I unbolted the fuse box and removed all of the rust. Not bad, only one blown out wire and tons of rust in there.

Then I put in a temporary fix. 1 sheet of clear plexiglass and a boatload of silicon sealer. At least I don't have to worry about drips inside the car (I hope).

You would think that they would have put a removable plastic cover on the TOP of this assembly at manufacture.

The car is still for sale if anyone is interested.
