does any body know the diffence between the neo, sae, fluids. because i need to change it. i do now it takes snythic but whats the diffence between the two. thanks aaron
I understand that OGTS recommends using Mobil 1 hypoid oil. It's available at most autopart stores. I've used it for years in differentials, but have no experience in Getrag transmissions.
I second the Redline MTL, I've used it for years in 4-speeds, Getrags, and even in ZF's, with good results. I'll be trying the Amsoil in my next Opel tranny/engine/diff., I have it in my WRX throughout and am pleased so far.
I was just about to change the gear oil in my 4 speed, I have a couple qts. of Valvoline 80W-90.
Is this OK to use - or am I better off going with a different brand?
