I posted this in the introductions, but I figure it might get more viewing here. Forgive the newbie, please.
I'm kind of new to forums and stuff, but I finally bought a 71 GT. It's been a 1/4 miler for a number of years, so I've got some work to do.
The body's in decent shape (a little surtface rust with bubbling) but there is no engine, trans, rear-end or interior (except for the dash which has all the original guages (go figure).
I've been doing research and trying to find sites to help with major stuff (new/reproduction) and I was wondering where I can find good quality weather-stripping and window seals for a decent price. I also need to find a driver-side window-again,cheap.
I am also interested in wiring diagrams and/or harnesses.
Both the car and I need all the help we can get.
Thanks.
Dave

Welcome aboard. This is the best Opel site on the web (and I am not just saying that because I moderate here!), so look around and most, if not all, your questions will be answered. Use the "Search" feature, or just surf around by topic heading.

Parts suppliers are listed on the front page, but the best new parts are from Opel GT Source (http://www.opelgtsource.com/). Used parts can also be had there, or a couple of other sources, eBay, and even by posting here.

There are a couple of other good site sites that you should get to know, but especially http://groups.yahoo.com/group/classicopels .

Again, welcome, and good luck with your Opel

Select the "Forums" option and go to "parts" > "Parts Substitutions" > and then, "General Rubber Substitutions" to find a clever solution to the weatherstripping problem. Cheap Fix!

Oh yeah? I thought the wind was supposed to blow through like that!
