Greetings from the other side of the world. It's nice to spend time in a country where Opels are still sold. Unfortunately, the Speedster is not imported here but just about everything else is available. Attached is a photo that's just a little teaser for the many pix I've taken here. Opel Banner

As hard as I tried...I couldn't convince the dealer to sell this banner to me. So pictures will have to do. I hope someone who's creative with graphics can reproduce this banner so we can fly it at Carlisle next year. -Scott D.

Is it badged as a Frontera? It looks like the Izuzu Rodeo/honda Passport. Did you see if it had a German motor?

Frontera

I think it was a Frontera. And if memory serves me well...it had the Ecotech engine in it. I'm not sure...I looked at so many Opels that day...they all run together in my mind. I also saw Opel's mini-van badged as a Chevrolet Zafira. I have a photo of the engine in that one. Should be back in the states by Thursday and I'll start uploading all my pix. -SD

The Frontera used the Opel 2.4 CIH engine way into the 1990's then changed to the later OHC engine. I would not be surprised if Isuzu engines were used in some markets too.
