Well, I hope this inspires you to BEAR down on the project to get it done. It would be unBEARable to let those bad neighbors scratch that pretty car, those animals! Just the BEAR fact that they wander into your shop without asking, where's their moral BEARings!..............

From some of the videos and posters hung in Yosemete about what bears can do to the door of a car, I don't think you need to worry about the keys in the car.

I'd love to see the look on some thief's face if they came up against your security system. (Do you get an insurance discount?)

The rest of the story

The bear has been a regular visitor to the neighborhood along with a smaller one. This one has been estimated to be between 300 and 350 lbs. Thursday he emptied our trash cans and relocated two large trash bags 200 feet down the mountain. He attacked on Saturday emptiing two trash cans, pulling a large container of dog food out of the garage, and pulling over a "large" stationary propane grill. Broke the wooden trays. On Sunday afternoon he emptied a trash can that was in the back of my Chevy 4WD. He was tall enough to pull bags of trash out without even tipping the can over. This picture was taken later on Sunday when he came back for a repeat appearance. Monday night we caught him on video tape using the night shot feature.
The garage is attached to the house through a breezeway. I was standing in the breezeway with my hand on the door. (for quick retreat) By the way we live on "Wildlife ln" Deer, bear, bobcat, coyotes and other animals are regular visitors to the neighborhood.
The mirrors are electric mirrors from mid 80's Buick & Olds. Recently replaced the driver side for $59.00 (advance auto).
