The rest of the story
The bear has been a regular visitor to the neighborhood along with a smaller one. This one has been estimated to be between 300 and 350 lbs. Thursday he emptied our trash cans and relocated two large trash bags 200 feet down the mountain. He attacked on Saturday emptiing two trash cans, pulling a large container of dog food out of the garage, and pulling over a "large" stationary propane grill. Broke the wooden trays. On Sunday afternoon he emptied a trash can that was in the back of my Chevy 4WD. He was tall enough to pull bags of trash out without even tipping the can over. This picture was taken later on Sunday when he came back for a repeat appearance. Monday night we caught him on video tape using the night shot feature.
The garage is attached to the house through a breezeway. I was standing in the breezeway with my hand on the door. (for quick retreat) By the way we live on "Wildlife ln" Deer, bear, bobcat, coyotes and other animals are regular visitors to the neighborhood.
