i searched around and looked at a bunch of threads and couldn't find exactly what i wanna know, i'm putting my car back together finally and i'm stuck on how to attach the throttle linkage.

i know there is something to do with pins and clips on those ball joints from what i have read, but i don't know exactly how to get the rods onto the ball joints, can anyone help me out?

my linkage is already put together, just its not in the car... is it the same snap together thing when you attach it to the ball joint on the car and the one attached to the engine bay by the pedal? i tried forcing them together but didn't get anywhere... so i gave them a little persuasion with a hammer but didn't want to get too carried away in case i was doing it wrong

both, i have the 3 peices together, and in place in the car... but not attached to the ball joints that the end of the rods go onto, the ones that are on the carb and on that bracket that is attached to the engine bay itself, and i can't figure out how they attach... hopefully that made sense

thanks ron and jared, i just went and had a look at it, and it has that clip that goes through one hole and snaps around the rod, i didn't see those little things before.

for anyone else that has the same problem as me: after using a flat head screw driver to pop them off, it slid right in place and all you need to put it back on is your fingers and good eye sight to get it back in the hole.

throttle works now, except i noticed the bushings or whatever they are called on the end of the rod that keep it centered in the hole are rotten so the rods are a bit sloppy... something tells me those aren't easy to find :(
