I unfortunately have tosell my 71 gt. I wrecked my daily driver an i am in a position because of school tuition that i have to sell my car. this is a heart breaker but i have no more choices. I do have one problem with the title. I bought the car from a buddy of mine and he had a title 42 for it. However, the title had expired about two years ago. I know i cant sell without the title. But im not sure what to do now. I am asking 750 for the car, but i need to find a title for it. I live in Oklahoma City so if anybody has any advice i would appreciate it. Also if anyone knows a good place for me to place an add for the car i would appreciate it.

go to the home page and scroll down to the bottom, we can still access and place adds there like we used to. BTW what is a title 42, salvage title?

Talk to a local Tag Agency. Tell them you have a lost title, give the VIN # and they will research it for you. Might end up costing some penalties to bring it up to date. I live in Tulsa and have friend who owns a Tag Agency so if you are having trouble let me know and I will see what I can find out for you.

salvage title

the title 42 is a salvage title. he bought the car from a salvage yard. The engine is the 1.9 alluminum block and head. Webber carb and one piece long pipe headers. it runs good. I just need to do some body work on the front. The headlights are gone as well as the sheet metal that surrounds the front clip.

I talked to a tag agency in norman and they said that i would have to either have my friend pay the fines for the expired title 42. Or go to court and have him say that he is selling the car to me or something to that effect.

I have to get the car and take some pics of it. It is a restore project there is no question about it. However the body is solid. no rust or rot.
