I was wondering if anyone has bought or even dealt with the ebay member goliners? They have headliners listed for the GT for like $50. Seems like a good deal, almost too good of a deal to be the right fit. When OGTS is selling them for $85.

Thanks,

Adam

I can't help you with the eBay member stuff. But if you know anybody who can sew you can have one for a lot cheeper.

I took the old one out of my car and my mom used it as a template. The new fabric (which is tougher and less likely to puncture than the stock fabric) was only about $12.

Actually one of the best headliners I've seen in a while was home done. If the last of the Colorado group wasn't sold I might have gotten one for it. I'll beg and plead for one for the wagon instead.

You got it!, Save the old one you take out of the car, intact if possible, let me cut it apart so I can get the pattern correct.

Dave;
I purchased a headliner for the wife's Sportwagon. It's from Headliner Mart in TX. It was $128. You can get most any color, and fabric texture.

head liner

I just received my headliner from the same company on e-bay.It does not look the same as what is in my GT.The new one has a diamond pattern but the one in my GT is smooth.I was wondering if my old liner is not stock or if the new one is wrong.I was also wondering if there are any other company's that sell the window seals cheaper than OGTS "being as though I am so cheap."Thanks for any help Tim

There are specialty trim shops that might be able to help. As for the headliner I think that one is covered.

Tim wait a bit and see a really good one.

I noticed that it said diamond in the description.I was just wondering because I thought it said stock.Don't get me wrong I like the diamond better.I am very happy I just need new seals to finish the old ones look fine but they are just that OLD.Most of my car has aged nicely but why not replace them now before I have trouble.I am looking forward to seeing your car Dave. Thanks for the feed back Tim

I have a new headliner that I got from OGTS and I am not happy with the quality. The material is thin and not very flexible/stretchy so it will be very difficult to install and get the creases out. Does anyone know of a source for a high quality headliner for a GT?

I just installed a headliner a few weeks ago that I purchased from OGTS. I have to say I was very disappointed with the quality and fit of it. The material was very thin and it felt like it would pull apart if pulled tight enough. The pattern was off by a mile. The seams that are supposed to be at the top corner of the C pillar were 6 inches down the pillar itself. It was cut so short at the rear window that it had to be stretched just to reach the pinch weld. Meanwhile, there was about 10 inches of excess material in front of the C pillar. I pulled it as much as I could to get the coverage needed and thought it was going to rip. I have to admit, it looks like crap with wrinkles and baggy spots that were just impossible to get out. I paid $85.00 plus shipping for it.

I could tell that all those problems would be present and that the material was too thin. When I did my Ghia the material was of much better quality. I am hoping someone knows where to get a good one, otherwise I will be forced to make my own which will slow me down.

Changed item?

Hmmm, I wonder if maybe OGTS has changed this item since last year when mine was ordered? I have their headliner in my car and it looks real good. No problems with tears or anything to date either.

That's the main reason I ordered one rather than making one also. I was under a time deadline to have the car done by this weekend and I just finished it on Monday.

I also just installed the chrome locking strip in the window rubbers last Sunday and it's already showing defects.
