Does it matter which hose (top or bottom coming out of the firewall) goes to which spot on the engine (thermostat housing or water pump)? Currently I have the top hose going to the water pump and the bottom hose to the thermostat housing....thats how it was when I got it.

it shouldn't matter how they're hooked up, just as long as you have flow through the core, or atleast thats the way most cars are. i have the top hose going to the thermostat, and the bottom one going to the water pump, the way both my GTs have been, both had kickass heaters, cept the red one because the flapper door cables were busted so i just tied them open, and it worked great.

on the same subject ...

PO for some reason had taken out the heater control valve of my gt.
I just purchased one and want to install it, but I'm not quite sure what the "stock" look is.

Can anyone provide a picture of a "stock" looking heater control valve in the engine compartment looks like?

thanks!
