Go to the Downloads section on this site and get the GT Shackle drawing. The shackle will lower the GT 2 inches.

It not only lowers the front, it also eliminates the leaf spring "binding" that happens when it is compressed. The stock setup doesn't allow any place for the leaf to travel side to side relative to the A-Arm as it compresses. The shackle gives a rotational motion that allows for leaf deflection.
