No that was my old cold air intake. I modified it and put the air filter down by the radiator so it is a true cold air intake.

Ok guys finally a small update on this car. So on Saturday I went over to my grandparents house to work on the opels. I decided to start the 69 Gt up since it has been sitting since probably November. I pushed the gas a little to set the choke and then it started right up within like 7 seconds of cranking. I didn’t touch the gas pedal at all. That car sure does start nicely. Then my grandpa siad to get it out and drive around. So I went behind the barn and drove it. It ran pretty good. It still has a little bit of a bog when you floor it but then it gets going. So we have some minor carb tuning to do yet. Then yesterday I took off the homemade resonator that I made and held up a stock Gt resonator to it. That makes it really quiet. I was surprised. Then we held some other mufflers up to it. I think we might do some more experiment later and take off the glasspack too. This stuff will all be in a YouTube video. But I think the custom resonator that we made actually makes the car louder! And that might cause the droning problems we have at like 50 mph.

So just a small update but we do have a lot planned for this car coming up, like headlights, rocker panels, Interior work, exhaust, maybe tires, and other stuff.

Sam, I just put my original resinator back on with my glass pac and Me, personally, I think it sounds just fine. It might be just a touch quieter now but not enough I can really tell. It still shakes the pictures on the inside wall of the garage.

Yea I think I might do some real quick pipe fabing to see how the og resonator sounds with the glasspack with no exhaust leaks. What I want is loud acceleration, but quiet cruising and no droning.

Yep that the trick I guess is no leaks I welded all mine back together in 2" and the glass pack is 2" also
I also just finished a 3" glass pac install on the f150 5.4 and it sounds absolutely perfect.

Yea I welded it all up before. I should’ve gone with 2” but my grandpa had only 2.25 laying around.

The girls may not be attracted to this GT lol. Maybe the red one once I get it driving. Thanks. It sure is a lot of fun and I am learning lots from you guys and my grandpa.
