i took it out and fixed it. i forgot how to put it back in. i know how to put the lights and cable in. what about all the brow wires how do i know which is which? thanks

if i'm not mistaken the only wires going ont he speedometer should be for the lights in the back. brown is always ground on a GT, so far that i'm aware of anyway. and use a test light to find the hot wires for your lights.

Oh no you didn't mark them! Just kidding they are all ground and they hook to all those lugs on the edge of the speedo. It makes no difference what order, just be sure you get them all or something won't work. What was wrong with it anyway?

damn spring

it was stuck on 30 mph, so i took it out and poped the chrome off of it and loosened the screws on the back and then the were two more screws on the inside i loosened them and put a washer in between the two screws in the inside, and it looks good now. by the way when i put a pencil in where the cable goes it jumps so i think i fixed it

Let us know how it works when you are done.

Mine is stuck on 30mph as well. After some time on the highway, it drifts up to about 40, but that's it. Be interesting to know what it would take to fix it before disassembling at random.
