There is a conversion, that uses a stock GM 105 amp alt, with internal regulator, and except for buying an aftermarket lower bracket, which you modify by elongating one of the mounting holes, is a bolt in. I have this conversion on both my Sportwagons, will work on GT's, Kadetts, Mantas, etc. Have had mine on for quite a few years and no problems.
i do not know what kind of bracket i have on my opel i just found some things laying around and a little welding and there .. and surprizeing it still on the car ..
i do have to get one of them upper and lower brackets one day when it falls off

There's the cry-sler single pulley that can be converted to be controlled by the
Bosch regulator.

I don't know why you would even think about using an external voltage regulator
when internal's are so very common.

FWIW I'm running a GM SI alt. with custom fuel injection.
When I up graded my alt. to 100 amps, that was 1 of the main reason to get rid of the MECHANICAL voltage regulator, not to mention the H4 headlights, Euro driving lights (city lights) and ect. The bosh voltage reg. is rated for 35-55 amps,:banghead: so your screwed anyhow:yup:
So do you have an autozone part number? Can i get :lmao:eek:ne cheap?
100 amp. alt.

This is a 100 amp. chrome alt. from summit racing part # SUM-G1667A with built in regulator. It has 2 wire connection 1 goes to the alt. the other goes to the white wire off to the charging light. You will also need Top alt bracket SUM-G4049 chrome, you will have to bend it to fit like the stock one. Also lower bracket SUM-G4050 chrome, these need to have 1 of the holes elongated to fit and I recommend a spot weld in the bends to reinforce them. This set up works very nice ALT. is 101.00 top and lower brackets are about 15.00 ea. Good luck, easy install and worth it:yup:

Fox Body is that a Chrysler?
An alternator for a 1991 Chevrolet pickup ( C or K body ) with 350 engine will fit ( you have to change the pulley to the Opel pulley.
