You probably still have to do the wiring in your car, so consider installing installing some external battery terminals somewhere, like in a wheel well or somewhere, in case the battery goes dead and you can't disengage the brake. External battery terminals will also provide a convenient way to attach a charger during the Winter or times when you don't drive the car for a while. My car has an air dam, so I located my terminals just behind it, screwed to the belly pan just in front of the driver's wheel well.

Although you've done a fine job on this mod, I posted this on Facebook and someone suggested that you mount the actuator underneath the tunnel. That's actually a pretty good idea. You could then have it do a straight pull against the parking brake yoke. It depends on what sort of leverage you gain or don't gain or need to get a decently strong enough pull on the cables.

I also have automatics in my GT's for the past 35 years and I have never used the parking brake unless the car is up on my lift with no engine/tranny in it. Even then, it's simpler to just put chocks at the wheels. I deleted the parking brake entirely on my last 2 cars.

From my experience, you'll never use it, even though it's a cool mod. If you put it underneath, you'll entirely free up the center console for a nice storage box/armrest:

Thanks for all the great input. I don't think it will fit under the tunnel. I only did this to free up space, but never thought of not having one. Now I am rethinking the whole thing?

Nice, I have friends in Rockmart. Not too far away (Newnan, 1:15-ish), we have quite a few members around Atlanta, but the activities went down a bit in the last couple years

Last thing to add patched some hole in fuel tank and cleaned the inside and sealed it with POR fuel tank seal. Slow and steady will get it done

How do you get that motor to levitate above the floor like that?
Just kidding, you have done a nice job on it!
