Hi guys, my first post here. My father has a kadett C Rallye 2.0 first registered in 78. Is there a database online where i can check the vin number to see what options it had when new? Also, how many of these cars were made? I'll throw in a picture of it someday after i have visited my father.

Edit: I'll be happy to send the vin in a PM if anyone sits on a list of cars.

The Kadett C Rallye was the economy version of the GT/E and was available with two engines, the 20E and the 16S. No Recaro seats and a 4-speed standard transmission with the 5-speed ZF optional. I don't know how many 20E equipped cars were built, but the total amount including both engine sizes were 8549 Rallyes.

Andli,

While just a few people here are familiar with the Kadett C (most of us are in the USA), I suggest you get a login for the German Kadett Forum. Feel free to post in English, you will get help there as well.
