I just got done stipping the drivetrain from a 1970 Kadett(31) sedan.1.1[purchased on ebay].Boy what fun.I took off the carbs ,starter, generator, fan ect.then unbolted tranny, pulled it forward, removed clutch/flywheel then stepped into engine compartment and squat lifted it onto front apron then on to ground(Wheww!)Tranny next, then driveshaft,Wheels, drums ect.Fred and Barney would have loved this car.I litterally pulled up on passenger seat and it came right out. Will be going back for doors ,glass, cables, rear, ect.If anyone cares the flywheel, manifold, and oil filter housing bolts use the 10mm serated bit to remove..I will be doing a rebuild of the engine in the near future.Anyone got cam bearings? Also has anyone ever turned a 1.1 flywheel, this one has minor rivet scoring from the clutch. Thanks!
