kansas city opelers
there are a bunch of us in missouri.. about 6-8 of us in the Kc area.
Many with a lot of experience with opels.There is no formal KC list as
we have no formal club..yet.We think we are going to have a missouri meeting in Kansas city in the spring.
names that come to mind on opelgt.com folows:
I am bucky,there is also houserc,dan101,and oldhippie.In Joplin I met tom king(wow...he could be our mentor)..there are others who I cant recall off the top of my head.
you can type in our names on the search feature to see our topics.
post your car and where you are at in the gallery.

well hello to all kc area opel people. maybe one day soon we will all get together and meet in person. is anyone thinking of organizing rallies or cruises in the future? i look forward to meeting all the kc guys and gals.

Welcome to the world of the German-Buick cars only the addicted (Opel-itis) love. I'm 'bout 90 miles west of KC. My GT just got pushed into the garage. Got to make new floor-pan pieces, weld some metal behind the tires, paint, install motor and interior. BUT I'm pushing for a summer run to meet all these people I've been typeing at. It's a good group.

I'll cruise on down to anything you guys get together near KC after I get back home to SD in August. I'll probably be in a Kadett, but I may have a couple of Opel surprises in store for that time frame as well.

mini kc meeting
just to let you all know.
through this web site tomking and I met briefly when he came thru KC on business.He read I was needing a rack and pinion ,so he brought one with him. He brought me a " rack and pinion" for Celeste. Since I was driving the opel, he took her for a spin. I said "tom, go ahead a rev it to 6 grand", we had fun.He filled me in about the good trip he had to Carlisle and all the friendly folks he had met.
He agreed that my " metal Opel labeled clone pedals from Brazil are slick and are not recomended."
He has scored some good parts on ebay and will be ready to drive one of his 2 opel gts up from Joplin to meet us at Sonic or wherever.He is having a Legere 2.4 built for him in Joplin ... He has roller rockers in hand too ,from samdog.
He liked my Destec LED lights. I liked the complete A/c he bought at carlisle and the Dual side drafts with Manifold that he scored at a bargain price on a "buy it now on ebay".
we visited as time would allow.I told him how much fun it was to drive my gt around kc, for instance .." I had a guy in a Rolls Royce waving at me yesterday."

There are a few of us on the other side of the state too. Like here in St Louis. So if you get stuck or need a hand while you are back east or a place to stop off (like on the way to the big gatering in springfield (il) in sept) just drop a line or call.

Hello all.
I live in KC and just joined the board. I do not own a GT yet but both my brother and me are in the market for a couple.
I plan to do a lot of reading of past posts in order to catch up on the information here.

I met another Opeler yesterday. He just bought and repainted a GT and lives in Richmond, about 20 minutes from me. We had a good talk and traded some spare parts for some leftover body panels he had.
We will be getting together sometime soon and I'll post pics of the new one in the area.

you just missed a big Opel gathering in Springfield il. I do think that there are one or two sw opelers out there and quite a few (say 6) in KC. Active here Opelbits and I are in STL and I know of two other manta's here a kadet and 4 gt's in the STL area
we will have a mo gathering someday in the middle of the state like the Ozarks or something that way it is about equal diatance for everyone to drive.
