i am in the need of a pair of eye bushings for a stock '69 gt front leaf spring, pluss the bolts.

poly stock spring eyes are back ordered as of 5/01/05

last i heard ,stock spring eyes are still on back order from ogts..as i am waiting on a pair too since april. each side takes a pair of bushings, you need 4 total.

A sport spring bushing(Oval) will not fit the stock spring eye. the sport spring has a smaller eye.


maybe someone here has an extra set of stock poly to get you by. or as a last resort, and depending how desparate you are, i can try to get you a set of the TR6 bushings that will fit, they are rubber with a steel center...craig at the shop had some new, i have a pair installed till the polys come in.

for bolts go to a hardware store that has a grade 8 , fine thread. i could not find metric in the correct length.

it takes a 4 inch..i cant remeber the diameter.

if the tr6 would fit and not be a problem to use for a long time, i would use them. where would i order them.

i will go by the shop and see where i can get you some.

what he had was new. you will have to grind approx. 1/8in from each end.
as i recall they fit snug, the outer surface of the bushing to the inner surface of the spring eye....wasnt my idea..as my car was apart and we needed parts to get it out of the shop.

I have a stock front spring with brand new red bushings already installed in it. I put them in the spring then decided to go with the sport spring. If you are interested just let me know.
