Do a site search for Distributor or distributor advance. There are several threads that discuss this. The advance limits for the different years are in the Opel Encyclopedia and in one of the posts.

I have (just finished building) a 2.2l motor w/ dual weber 40's. I'm told that I'll probably need a mechanically advanced distributor to perform correctly. Is there a place I can take my distributor or buy one to get the correct setup for my carbs? Can I do it myself?? Someone I could call to walk me thru it?? I'm talking ignorant...I know nothing
I'm getting really antsy about dropping this thing in...
