Anyone have server space willing to host a short MPEG movie I made of my GT. It's about 2 1/2 minutes long @ 78 megs ( :eek: ). If thats too big I was going to go back and break it into small sections like: Starting, engine running, high speed pass etc.....

78 Megs would take about 3-4 minutes to DL at high speed. (300-400kb a sec)

it's quite a hassle to download it. after a few tries it did. but at 9.69 kb/sec that takes 1H59MIN to download it.

::EDIT::

Got it downloaded at 120kb/sec thats as fast as it goes. it took 10 minutes.

movie was nice only thing, i tought it would be a bit more spectacular. when you're driving behind the minivan that took too long. you should passed him :cool:

Well worth the download time. That's a great video ConeroGt. It's one thing to see a static picture, but a video is awesome. Beautiful car. Do another, it's a great inspiration to see and hear it. :D Jarrell

Yea, I apologize for the minivan holdup. I'll do another more exciting one now that I know it works pretty well. I didn't kill myself trying to get any great shots or excitment because I didn't even know if transferring it to the computer would even work this well. This was just a "practice" try. Hey, George Lucus didn't start off making great pictures... :) But now that I'm familiar with it, I can experiment with more camera angles. I wanted to get the camera attached to the outside of the car somehow. Maybe something could mount into the jack points.

I think I can reduce the window size of the movie and reduce the overall size of it. I'm going to try to keep the next one to 30Meg or less.

A note on Megaupload: When I try to goto the screen to download sometimes it will hang and come back saying it can't find the page. I wonder if it does this beacuse someone is dowloading ??...But other attempts it will take me right to it no problem. damn...time to get that website up again.. :rolleyes:

that's right but it was not bad, not bad at all. i liked the last part don't know how it's called in english, i thing credits. that was a cool thing. and if i were you i wouldn't reduce the picture quality and size. cause it's a shame when you film something like this and there are no details to see. i rather download a large file with a good quality than a small size one thats all blurred and so tiny. mounting a camera on the car would be cool. ductape would help ;) lol. well maybe an external audio resource would be nice too. so you can hear the car sound better. already looking forward for the next movie.

Am I missing something? I go to that link and all I see is a huge page advertising why I should upload files and video to their servers. Where do I "Download" the video?

Edited: I must be losing it. I've stared at that dumb page for 10 minutes and looked at everything. I have no clue where you Download the video at.

Whoa! Cool! Thanks Tom!

Thanks for the encouragment all! Since I don't have a rollcage to mount a camera to yet, I'm going to build some sort of mount I can attach to tommorow. I found another cool place to shoot some new footage. This is fun. I'm already thinking about storyboards and new shots...lol

Maybe I can get Crusher to bring his ride along too. You listening Steve! :D
