I know this has been asked before, but, I don't have the moment to look it up, but, does a 2.4 minus all the accessories (ie f.i., alt, water pump, starter) weigh about the same as a 1.9? I know the diminisions are about the same.

A bit heavier I would say, fully counter-weighted crank, beefier rods, forged 95mm pistons, beefier block . . .

Rods weigh about the same, pistons are each around 160 grams lighter (but are cast, not forged), block is a few pounds heavier (about 10 lbs, but don't quote me!), and the crank is about 7 lbs heavier.
