Are you replacing fuel line from fuel pump to carburetor?

Used 5/16" diameter steel (fuel line) tubing from Pep Boys Auto Parts (USA).
Used hand tubing bender for bends, 5/16" rubber fuel line (& hose clamps) for connection to fuel pump/ carburetor.

Some Owners use 5/16" diameter fuel line hose from fuel pump to carb. Can attach hose clamps from valve cover bolts for routing.

Copper lines will "work harden" from vibration and develope stress cracks.

lindsay ,afraid theres no pep boys in leeds hes 1 of the english opelers, but your right about copper work hardening ,pitty as its easyer to get and work with
rlc try a motorfactors (partco and the like) they may have some if not try a plumbers merchant or steel supplyers and match the dia. to the size of the pump outlet ,you might need a small bender with steel pipe and keep the bends as large as you can ,how are you going to join the pipes to pump and filters as without a bead end(a raised ring on the end of the pipe ) the pipes can blow off if you use rubber hose and jubilee clips as you have 5 bar in the system

Guys, here's a thought that may work for you, I'm doing it on my V-6, although the sizes will be metric vice SAE. I purchased 20 feet of #6 or 3/8" and #4 or 3/16" stainless steel tubing for my fuel injection system on the motor. I have a tube bender and a tube flaring kit, both fairly reasonable to purchase. What I'm gonna do is bend the tubes to fit, flare them and put flare compression fittings on the tube ends. Fuel injections systems run higher fluid pressures than a normally aspirated engine does, in the 40-70 psi range and there is a continual flow, normally from the fuel rail back to the fuel tank. The only place I will not have a tube fitting, hopefully, is where the standard fuel lines on the engine will be hooked up via a pair of hoses. I hope to get the newer style hose connections from the auto parts store if available. HTH.
