So are the 1900 and the Ascona the same thing then? All my manual says is 1900. That's the only label on the car too. This may be why it's been so hard to find anything about the 1900 online. Anyway, I just joined and am making myself known. I have a 1975 1900.

Here is a summary for US opels

The ascona name was never brought over to the US. They are called 1900's here.

The links provided by baz should answer your questions.

Another way to determine this is the ascona has 2 headlights and the manta has 4 headlights.

The sportwagon looks just like the 1900 but it is a station wagon.

The GT looks like a mini corvette or does the corvette look like a large GT?

Actually it was raining that day, so the shinyness is an illusion.
