Time to schedule our next get together. Gerry tells me there is still work to be done at Jeff W.'s place on his parts Manta and others may have work to do also. Maybe we can schedule something to go with OAA if that happens. Lets talk!:)

Hey guys, here's a great idea for a club project, located in nearby Burlington.

OK, really, I'm kidding, but the idea of a next get together IS good. I can host again as there are more things to come off the parts car, but I hate to be a meeting hog, and I'm sure others have things they might want to do. Does John still want his carbs switched?

At this point, the next couple weekends look OK unless there is something the wife hasn't put on the calendar.

Joe,
Good to see you are doing the timeing chain. Sorry but I can not help you out, eventho airfare from Atlanta to Milwaukee is realy cheep.

You have a great garage to do it in ;) . Have fun!! Hope some folks come by and help you (It should only take a couple of hours to do it, if you have all the parts and murphy does not visit!!)

What type of "exploritory surgery" are you going to be doing??

Hi Rick,
Just checking things out on this engine. Make sure everything is OK> Maybe clean up whatever needs it. Plan on putting another high comp motor on a stand and building a bad-a*s!!!! Just want to be able to drive the car while the juices flow on the other motor. Cant have the GT sitting there lookin at me sayin "come on. LETS GO!!!!"

If you other guys cant make it over to lend a hand, thats cool, it will still get done. Just thought I'd exchange a few cuss-words and do some bench racing!!!I think me-n-Gerry will get it done with ease.

Hi Joe,
I might be able to squeeze in a couple of hours the 17th, but couldn't stay the whole afternoon. My "honey-do" list has several things that need to be done before the in-laws come to visit over Christmas so I'll plenty busy this weekend on the 10th. Let me know which date you've picked and I 'll see what I can do. I'm not sure how much help I would be, but I can do whatever and would enjoy seeing a motor pull take place in a warm garage on a cold Wisconsin December day!! Great way to chase away the "Opels are put away" blues...

March GMO get together

It is almost Spring, and before we tune up for the shows, it is time to get together and work on some of those little projects that have been aluding us. March 11th the Greater Milwaukee Opelers will be meeting at Joe's house in West Allis. It should be starting around noon. For info on Joes address and directions(only about 8 blocks from my house), feel free to email me. If the weather is bad, Joe's garage has heat. All opelers are welcome!

If it helps you out Skyler, I can clean out the spare bedroom and you can crash out in there, it would save you the 40.00 or so for a hotel. And the food and drink is on the house as well, not a problem......

I will be there minus my Manta. The interior has been gutted so I can repair the floor boards that rotted out sometime last century! Need me to bring anything? Soda, beer, brats, dogs,????

one less for the meet

Hey Joe,
I will be there, obviously, but John G will not. He is going to be in London on a tour. Perhaps he will drive a Vauxhall during his travels.

Looking forward to seeing you guys Saturday. Rain did a great job of washing the salt away, no snow, so I'll bring one of the Mantas. There are presently six 12-13 year old boys in the house for my son's birthday sleepover, so I'm REALLY looking forward to tomorrow!!
