My best guess was that kit is a modified version of "Testarossa" kit available domestically from Opel GT Source. But I double-checked and the only thing similar is the front air-dam. I didn't see anything that matched the fender flares, or could be easily modified to look like that, but I could be mistaken.

Either way, that is a good looking set-up. Shame it's not available in kit form.

Take a look at the wheel specs. It says that it has a 345/35/15 rear tire! And if you look at the pictures, I think that it may look better with a tire that is even WIDER!!! (or a more narrow rim... but I don't know anyone that would want to go smaller).

And a quick look at the engine comparment tells me that those rear tires might be a shade excessive (unless there is a NOS system somewhere).

The kit that OGTS sells is Lenk Opel Tuning and there is nothing that Lenk makes or carries that resembles this, that I can find.

I was out on Lenk's web site and I didn't see anything in their Katalog. Where do they advertise it?

That kit in not made by Lenk, which is why you can't find it on their web site. It was produced by Lumma which was bought by California Youngtimer Import(Klaus) which merged with Opels Unlimited(Todd).

Rare Special Body Kit Found In US

Hi Everyone,

We just wanted to clear this thread up once and for all. This body kit did originally come from Germany and was sold by Lumma. Opels Unlimited's partner company in Germany did buy them out and Opels Unlimited has always been the exclusive importer of the kit to the United States. As far as we know, the only car completed in the United States was one whole car imported from Germany by Opels Unlimited for the President of the Opel Enthusiast Club, Mr. Johnny Roberson. The car is currently at Opels Unlimited for viewing. This body kit has been dubbed the "Evolution One" for U.S. sales and Opels Unlimited has had the kit new in stock daily for at least five years plus now. The total body kit, including Rear Spoiler goes for $1899 New. And it does look really HOT!! As far as the Gullwing door aspect, on Opel GTs, last information available to the Club was that there were only five successful Gullwings built, of which Opels Unlimited was successful in getting two of the famous Gullwing GTs in to the United States. They both are completely built and have functional doors and one of them was recently sold to another American customer here in California. Both of the United States' imported Gullwing GTs are currently at Opels Unlimited.
