Can anyone tell me if any other sending unit will work in my 69gt. The local parts store said it is not able to get it. I found it at a gt web site for 25.00, is this a good price thanks for any help you can give.

thats a great price! ogts sells them for I think $120

Might want to double check that part. The price seems right for the non-gauge type sending unit. Or it's a used part.

I would double check that low priced sending unit. The original sender has two terminals on it, one for the gage needle and one for the light in the gage. If the cheaper one does not have two terminals, you'll either have a light or a needle, depending on the inner workings of the sender. HTH

The VDO sending unit for the GT is part # 360-028 about $80
The cheaper way to go is get VDO # 360-009 about $30
and get a 1/8 NPT to M14x1.5 adapter ($4)

These parts along with any other gauges & senders can be
bought at egauges.com I have this set-up in my GT. I also
installed a "T" fitting so I also have a mechanical guage for
reading oil pressure. I don't trust the old guage in the dash.
