Need some help with headlights

Sorry to start a new thread on this. Try to find a similar posts but had no luck.

Problem:
My passenger side headlight is about 1/2 dimmer than the driver's side.

What can cause this?
Any ideas on where to start?

BTW:
They are both brand new halogen headlights and the old ones behaved the same way ....

Check to make sure the wires are connected to the headlights correctly. You may have a low beam wire hooked up to a high beam terminal. Maybe it would make the one beam brighter, maybe not.

when you say one light is brighter than the other, is it looking out from the car, or looking into the lights? i thought i only had one bright headlight until i adjusted them correctly.

thanks for the suggestions ...

Probably a bad ground. Have you rewired the headlights yet?
PO told me he did rewired them ... unfortunately I'm starting to find out it seems his quality of work was not up to par. Oh well, these are the thrills and emotions of being an OPEL owner.

I will try your suggestions:
1) check for bad ground
2) check for wrong connection to terminal wires (low/high switched)

and my last option:

re-wire it myself and therefore be sure things are done correctly.

Thanks to all for the input, I'll keep you posted on my findings.
