Hello T.O.O. folks:
Last Saturday was a blast, but if we sit back now we'll be staring "Old Man Winter" squarely in the face  . How about one more gathering before the lousy weather starts ? Something in maybe three weeks - weekend of Saturday, Nov. 12 & Sunday, Nov. 13 ?
What do you say ? ;)

.................. or how about we gather on Sunday, November 6, on the runways of the now defunct Johnsville Naval Air Development Base, where the Philly Region SCCA will be holding a non-points autocross event ?

Oh sure...now that there's no Ascona down there to stomp on those GT's you decide to attend an autocross....

Duane, you now have to uphold the Opel 50-series honors!
Hi Bob:
Actually, I'm wondering how much work would be involved with getting my Manta back on the road and sound enough to try my hand at auto-x
It really would depend on how much free time Duane would have between now and then ;)

I am registered .....

...... and unclassified. I registered the 75 Manta; now I better get busy and have it inspected so I can legally drive to the event ;)

Rick,
You will most likely be classed in D stock.

Duane
The only cars registered in D Stock so far are a 2002 BMW 330Ci & a
2002 Subaru WRX ............. I don't want to scar these guys for life,
you know :D

One final "bump"

Today is the last day for registration for Sunday's autocross in Warminster, PA. Anyone else interested in joining us ? I can't wait to get out there and embarrass myself

Hi Jeff & group:
Jeff - thanks for calling.
I am probably coming with Adam, and we'll be bringing sandwiches and drinks.
Anyone else bringing food ?
See you Sunday !

Rick's son Adam took pictures. Hopefully they will post shortly.
Jeff
The next time I see Adam I will "dot his eye" :p. He took 3 pix with the digital camera - a nice shot of Duane on his kart, a good shot of Evan on his kart, and a pic of the Bricklin on the course. He did get two of my runs on video, some of Duane and Evan on the course, and a bit of Jeff's first run too.

The thanks for "finding" the event have to go to Duane - I just opened my big mouth about it first !!!

Jeff, you were in serious trouble when I was on my last run; I had the little blue bomber in control and had gotten into third gear for the first time all afternoon. Unfortunately, I carried WAY too much speed into the 180 for the return trip and locked up the brakes. Fortunately, I cleared the "red mist" in time to get off the brakes and let the car snap back into line before collecting a cone. So at least I had no cones for the day :D

Adam had a great time; maybe he'll have a permit for next season. He is still grinning ear to ear from the rides that he snagged: his first was in a nicely prepped Mini Cooper S and the second in a sweet Lotus Super Seven.

The weather was unreal for November - thanks for the fun !

I had a chance to look at the video from the autocross on the TV screen.
Duane, I have to bring the tape up for you to get a copy. Adam got a great shot of you and the bump before the first slalom. I'm not sure who got more air - the kart from the ground, or you from your kart !!!!!
