Anyone have any experience with the ABS dash caps?

I'm considering ordering one, as my dash is pretty heavily cracked.

But, thinking about what ABS is going to look and feel like (black sewer pipe), I dunno if I'd even prefer it to just a cracked dash. Anyone used one and have any feedback?

I had one. Didn't like the way it finished at the edges. Went with the fabric dash mat.
