The annual Opels on the Lawn event takes place this Sunday as part of the German Car Day at the Lars Anderson Museum, Brookline, MA

GATES WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL 8AM!
Show vehicles will not be allowed on the Lawn prior to 8am!

German Car Day is the first Museum-sponsored show of the season. It’s on Father’s Day, so bring your dads, because what dad doesn’t like a little German engineering? All proceeds benefit the Larz Anderson Auto Museum. Any automobile is invited and encouraged to attend regardless of make, model or year, as long as it’s German.

Spectator admission is Adults, $10. Military, seniors, students and children 6-12, $5 and children under 6 are free. Museum Members are always free!
Lunch will be available for purchase from Putterham Grille

It's been a late spring this year and my car is not ready for prime time (not out of storage yet!) so unfortunately I can't bring the Manta this year. Anyone planning to be there?

I'll be there with the 24v wagon. Dennis might not make it due to work.

Due to overwhelming response, it is required that you register online in advance of German Car Day. There is very limited day-of space available. Therefore we are not able to guarantee space on the lawn to cars that register day-of or to cars that arrive after 10am even if you registered online.

I was really hoping to make it down there with the car this year, but had a gig scheduled for Saturday. Going to bed at 3 AM=not making it to Brookline for 10AM. Hope the weather holds out for you.
