I'm taking both of my Pontiacs (G8 GT and Solstice) to my local Rick Hendrick's Chevrolet dealership now for service. I've found an excellent mechanic there that I can trust to do good work. The aftermarket upgrade parts are still around too (e.g., Lingenfelter, Maryland Speed, etc.). So far so good...

Yes as the vehicles become more complicated
a good mechanic/shop that you can trust is a must.

There is an expert Gold Diamond Platinum ASE Master Mechanic with 45 years experience around in another thread which is kinda popular right now, maybe you wanna contact him. On another thought, I wouldn't trust this guy to change the tire on my wheel barrow...
