I was reading through the ebay opel gt's and read this several times. I think it speaks for itself.

When it gets to our shop we find the valve cover is shot and needs to be replaced ( BIG JOB !!! VERY COSTLY !!! Parts and labor over $700.00 to repair )

It looks pretty sweet but that just caught my eye.

A new timing cover (with the tentioners and the oil gears) is 360+ for the part. Some people can change it without removing the engine but either way you need a new oil pan gasket so the shop is charging about $300 for the labor. Cause of the $300 I would have to do it myself (and did) but it is not really too excessive I guess by shop standards..
