I have the original AM radio from my car and I am trying to reinstall it in the dash it came out of. The edge of the dash opening has not been cut. Seemed like any easy job. But there are gaps at the end of the bezel and the control stems stick out too far. Seems like there should be a face plate, but I don't have one and I don't see any on pictures I have found. The volume control stem has adjustment as it is not secured to the radio, but the tuning stem is fastened and there is no height adjustment. Also seems like there should be some support for the back of the radio so the dash dosen't absorb al

There should be the "U" shaped support bracket that is attached to the firewall and when another replacement radio was installed the bracket was probably removed. It should be easy to replicate if someone has the dimensions.
I think this is the bracket you are talking about. It was there before I painted the car. Must be around somewhere. Thanks.
