Hope to get back started on my Wilwood master cylinder upgrade soon. It is a 50/50 unit so I have purchased both a proportioning valve to adjust pressure to the rear brakes and a 10lb residual valve to keep pressure on the rear cylinders.

My question is: Does it matter in which order they are in the line?

example: master cylinder>proportioning valve>residual valve>rear brakes
or master cylinder>residual valve>proportional valve>rear brakes

Put the residual pressure valve right after the master cylinder. I plumb them directly to racing M/C's in fact.
