that green gt is sweeeeeeet!
Yep. Very nice car. This is what I was talking about when I mentioned a well designed eBay listing.
By the way, I am guessing that the seller here is also a flipper, based on the number
of vehicles he has sold on ebay. Sounds like most of his customers are happy campers, so he
must be doing it right. Hopefully the new owner of this pretty '69 GT shows up here.
Cheers,
RR

1969 Opel GT 1900 Coupe Buick GM 2 Door 90+ HD Pictures.

Really like contrast between saddle interior with black accents. Classic combination with dark green exterior.
Do not like "rattle-can" black engine bay, but not many choices unless one starts taking parts off to detail them.
Wiring needs some love with wiring conduit/ protection, but that is an easy fix.

Yes. A very nice GT, but far from concourse condition. I wonder how this would fit in to Charles's pricing guidelines.
I was somewhat surprised to see it go for $16K, since even a few years ago, I would expect no more than $10K (assuming it
was sold domestically) Perhaps the GT prices are on the way up, or it could be that this auction was blessed with a couple
very motivated bidders. :yup:

Ron you need to get yourself another GT sooner than the later. Just saying my friend, hoping it happens for you soon. The price does seem a bit high but then again there really isn’t a price to high for someone willing to pay the money.

I know that I have it on my watch list just to see the results. If I was in a position to buy, I would have been talking to you before he did! Beautiful car.

With that BIN price, I wonder what his reserve is?

If he can get 15K for it he should take his profit and call it good.
Agreed. I guess he has about $12K invested at this point with shipping and whatnot.
I noticed it has a AZ tag in the recent pics, so at least he registered the vehicle.

not sure if you included alot of parts, but he seems to have sold some Opel steering wheels and such.
Yep, I pretty much cleaned out all my Opel stuff when I sold the car.
He did buy a nice wood steering wheel (OGTS?) which I saw listed in another auction.
I think he also listed a few of the parts I included with the car on ebay, but not everything.
He apparently s**t-canned all the trophies plaques and awards I sent, so perhaps he also
tossed out some of the other parts.

I wish there was a dislike button for this post. Hate to hear the sale went this way Ron. Your car deserved a good Opel home, hopefully it will find one soon.

Wow it went for a good amount. Got to be hard to watch your Opel get passed around  Hopefully it is in good hands and someone who will be apart of this group to share future endeavors with you. I still say get another one sooner than later.

Looks like it was sold yesterday.
Hopefully, the new owner is a member (or future member) here.
It doesn't say what it sold for, only the asking price. Do you know the winning bid?

Also, he may have thrown all of your trophies away, but in the e-bay ad he boasted that it was a multiple award winner!

Bob,
No idea what it sold for. Since this was a BIN/OBO auction, it's possible someone did pay the BIN price or (more likely) the seller got an offer that he found acceptable.
I hope the new owner shows up here and hangs around, but often it seems like, once a long-time owner parts with a car, they tend to get passed around.
Cheers,
RR
