Daft question, but if a GT was fitted with OPENING rear windows, can they be converted to NON-OPENING or is the metalwork behind the rubber different from model to model?

I've often seen the windows and rubber avaliable for sale and someone has taken a screwdriver to mine when the P.O. had it and creased the chrome trying to pop the catch.

Personal taste perhaps, but I think the non opening look a lot cleaner anyways.

I believe they can. I converted the side windows in my '69 GT to pop-outs and am going back to the fixed. I'll just have to deal with the bracket holes in the headliner.
