Which type are you looking for? Plastic or aluminum?
The plastic ones look clunky to me and the aluminum louvers I have(GT) do not lift up, each section fits underneath the weatherstripping. The louvers on my Manta were aluminum also, but they would lift for cleaning.

Are you sure you want louvers? When I bought my GT it had them but I hated them. It was near impossible to clean the rear window. They attach by wedging between the glass and window rubber but had no way to lift for cleaning. They also left scratches in the glass after I removed them. Just something to think about.

The pic shows 6 slats, and I assume that they are aluminum. The old Whitney units were Alum. I wanted a set, but didn't get one, then they stopped carrying them.

Looks like I will need to build me a set that hinges. Also been thinking about running led third brake light and signals in the upper rear vents.

Yep! they are aluminum- I expected them to rattle but nothing as far as sound. They are remarkably well made and take paint very well.

Do you know who made them and are they the hinged model?

I've look them over several times looking for a name plate or some identification, but if there ever was something on it to identify the manufacturer, its been removed or lost a long time ago. and yes- they are hinged. The top mounting plate has a raised flange with a hole in it that allows the small bolt through. The louvers have a yoke on them (like a bent Y) with a hole thought the top of the Y for the bolt to pass. The side mounts have a spring loaded shaf that is flared on the end. This flared end goes through the matching shaped hole on the side window mount. Twist the spring loaded bolt after inserting into the side mount and its locked down. Twist the other way and lift up to clean the glass. I use aquarium cement to hold under the metal parts of the brackets that touch the glass. Months later- no probs.
I hope this helps

Can you get a couple of close up pics that won't hurt your feelings about your paint job? <grin> Thanks,

Swiss
Sure can try. The cute divorced lady down the street has a digital camera but my wife won't let me talk to her:rolleyes: So my next option is to take a roll of film with my regular camera and have Eckerts Drug make a CD disk, which I can download. This may take a few days. I will get a close up and get it to you. :)
