Remote Oil Filter

Well, it's officially winter now- Opel project time for many of us. Since it seems that 966B and 10028 oil filters are getting harder to find, has anyone found a remote filter system suitable for the GT? There are a few "universal" remote filter setups on the market... would anybody like to recommend one in particular? It would be great to run a larger, higher-capacity filter that would also be easier to find....

OK, then... has anyone in this group even attempted to run a remote filter on a 1900?

Every race Opel I've built has used a remote filter and oil cooler. For colder climates, a thermostat is also necessary to ensure the oil heats up enough and doesn't cause engine damage.
For my father's GT, I was able to install a remote filter, oil cooler, thermostat, and remote oil breather tank all in the nose area of the car. I used #8 AN line for his street car (1/2" ID), but for a race vehicle I'll usually use #10 AN (5/8" ID). Use a Ford/Chrysler remote filter mount, and a Fram PH43 filter or equivalent, the filter is short but larger in diameter, plus very common.

Sounds like a plan, and thanks for the reply, Bob.
