Searching the forums...also checked the FSM. No where does it say how to remove the ignition switch from a Kadett. I will be removing mine shortly and see what kind of project it becomes. Looks like a couple of bolts that are hidden behind the vinyl pad under the steering column.

Next question is....does anyone have a good used ignition switch for a kadett? I wonder if OGTS can rebuild a Kadett switch like they do for GTs. Or could the switch itself actually be the same as used in the GT? I have my front suspension completely dropped out so I may be able to remove the entire steering column without too much trouble now. My Kadett has a hidden push button start switch which starts the car once the ignition is switched to the ON position. Now would be a good time to address that.

The switch itself on the 66/67 Kadett is real easy to remove...2 screws hold it in under the dash at the end of the lock/ignition assembly. My quest now will be to find a good used switch the same as the one I have attached a picture of.
