Instrument Console

I have a decent shaped one, except there is like 1 or 2 small cracks (cant hardly see them) and its got like 2 or 3 like 4 inch white scuff marks on it. Some parts of it kind of are "Sun-Baked'' or in other words, turned white. Is there any kind of cleaner I can use to fix this, because I have already tried 2 different kinds of cleaning -- one being ArmorAll. Maybe some kind of paint I can get? If it comes down to it, does anyone have a better shaped one I could buy for a decent price? Also, when installing, how do you get it passed the Heater Thing?

Thanks In Advance

Jon, the front of the console slips under the heater control panel, then there are two screws under the ashtray, and two snap in clips in the rear of the console. Don't know about cleaning them other than what's a general upholstery cleaner. There is some paint that can be used on vinyl that's supposed to be pretty good though. HTH.

Plastic Repairs & Paint

Try a plastic bumper repair shop. They can weld plastic and use a neat textured coating for the bumpers. HTH

The console is plastic Baz - and bumper repair shops weld plastic! They even repaired our vacuum cleaner....... and bumper paint could be used on the console to "bring it back" or even make it a different colour. Now there is a thought. ;)
