What is anyone's opinion of a rust preventive/stopper product called 'Zero-rust'? MFG Sealants in Atlanta, GA is the producer, or at least, the retailer placing their logo, etc., on the can. A Jensen-Healey enthusiast dropped in at the local auto paint store while I was there yesterday, and he had done an outdoor six-month comparison test (including daily salt water immersion!) on a 12"x28" piece of heavy gauge rusted, pitted steel. His sample showed very promising results, particularly when compared to some 'name brands'.

Any thoughts on this, or is there a post somewhere I've missed?

Incidentally, I felt at least a small twinge of pity for the guy...he said something like only 1500 TOTAL Jensen-Healey's were imported into the US...ouch.

Location, location, location...

Yup!! 1841 Marietta Blvd, to be precise and exact! Sorry not to have a phone number, but I was struggling with the size of the print on the can. Their website is: www.mfgsealants.com although I've not researched it personally. I was really impressed with the time and trouble this person had gone to in order to determine which product was most suitable, at least for our area. He had sampled both the POR-15, (said it was "...as expensive as French perfume") and the Eastwood product - which the name escapes me at the moment, along with the other typical off-the-hardware-store-shelf products, ie., your Rustoleums, etc., along with plain-old roofing tar. The Zero-Rust product was distinguishably better than any of them. I am certainly not going out on a limb to claim this is better than sliced bread or, ahem...well, nor is this a 'paid testimonial'; merely reporting on what another auto enthusiast personally tested and which I witnessed. And to also wonder, is there anyone out there who has used said product, or would offer up a negative opinion of it's use? Otherwise, it looks mighty good to me. I may possibly find use for a can. Or twenty.
