Ken, with that many filters, I would feel comfortable removing the sock filter in the tank and throw it away. Its' job is to prevent large particles from getting into the fuel lines. The down stream filters can filter out particles as small as .003 and smaller, depending on the filter paper. I'm glad to hear you have a filter before the electric fuel pump as well as after it. Small particles can damage the pump, especially if it is a gear type pump. HTH.
