Good luck Charles and to anyone else wanting to buy a 2.4 or a Getrag. I can't wait to get started on mine, but there are other demands that need to be done first.

Getting close to finishing up the order.. Just a few more spots.

Also may have a 2.6L short block for sale too.. in the next week. If anyone is looking for a built stroker block.

I am guestimating about $2600 on it ( dont have final bill from shop )

Also may have 2 or 3, 2.4L / 2.6L Rotating assemblies ( Crank, rods, pistons, rings ) shortly ( Again price not a 100% known). But the cranks and rods will be modified to go into any 1.9L Block that has been bored to 2.0L. Guessing. Looking at about $1300-$1900 for thoe ( Depending on if you want new pistons or new rings on tested 2.4L Pistons.

Last but not least have a 2.0L Crank, rod and piston set used ( Should have the bearings as well ) - $800.

R25 5 Speed Option and Pictures

We are closing up the order.. anyone wanting to jump in last minute needs to get with me soon.

Do have an offer for someone if they would want it.

$600 for a used 5 speed (Includes the customs and shipping to the US ).

NOW that said.. there's a catch ( Isnt there is always a catch.. ) its a R25 NOT a Getrag 240.

Easier to get, BUT larger also beefier. Told they will fit Manta fairly well and possibly Kadett ( With AT tunnel .. Hmmm �� ).

BUT with GT they can not fit well UNLESS you have removed the headlight actuator. Also the install has not been documented much anywhere as far as I can find so you maybe the first.

The modification of the shifter would be similar to the Getrag mod. Made for the 6 cylinder CIH motors and easier to find. Needless to say for the right individual this would go great behind a 2.6L ( More on that project soon ).

Mind you there are some "Lessons Learned" how NOT to do things in the pictures.. so understand there are some good, bad, ugly, and wierd in there. But its about a Gig of Opel porn.

All pictures are mine and I will allow for reuse of them online with permission. That permission can be assumed unless I ask you to remove them if used inappropriately.

The 240 is the way to go for a GT. Has been done plenty of times and there is enough support for it.

Got a 2.2L and a 5 speed available out of the last batch.

Maybe the last this time as I have too much other non-opel stuff going on to do this much more, especailly added to the fact finding this stuff isnt any easier.
