the honda wheel is for front wheel drive cars so you would need spacers to centre your hub and clear the suspention

it would fit a post 78 FWD opel

Don't rule them out. I have a set of BBS modulars on my car that are meant for a Honda. I have put a good set of 1/4 inch spacers and they fit a bit to the inside but no rubbing on anything. They were cheap, 450 for the set new in the boxes. I found them on Ebay at a dealership in Canada. Oh yea they are 14 x 6.5.

maybe my car has something wrong with it, but i use my jetta wheels wich are 16x7.5 4x100 with 205/45/16 tires and 40 offset. i have experienced no rubbing or anything else to date. I do not run spacers. as a matter of fact, both of my jetta wheelsets are 40 offset and they both work great. the other set is a 195/60/14.

I used the spacers to widen it back out I probably could go without them. How does it look with the 40 offset?
