Uploaded the before pictures of my sons Manta now that I have started the body work. Does a good job of showing the typical rust areas.. Although a bit exaggerated since some prep work and cutting has already started.

Hmm.. 99 days until Carlilse... any bets on if it will make it or not ?

yikes body work not fun.....How do you plan to remove the rust/paint? sand & bead blasting or some type of acid dip method where the whole body goes in a tank and comes out bare.

Nothing quite so drastic..

Simply, the interior and engine bay will be knocked down to metal with a high spped pnematic sander. When its close enough, its getting a good coat of

Magnetpaint Chassis Saver :

The outer shell will get the DA sander on it, as well as Chassis Saver.

The inner fender areas will get the sander and Chassis saver, followed by undercoating.

Sanding is more labor intesive to a point, but more controlled. Not to mention I dont get sand everywhere. Its not as perfect as som other methods either, but its a cheaper way to do it, and this car is going to be my sons' High School car.. not a show car.

The Blue max on the other hand I havent decided yet...
