rear help

i have a question. is there any way to make the opel rear hold up to more power. like the power of a v6. i don't really want to do a rearend swap into my opel, then again i want a rear that won't leave me stranded. what usually breaks in an opel rear? any input would help thanks. and what rear would be the easiest to swap into the gt and what car it would come out of
