Hi everyone,
I've been struggling with a strange vibration in my manta. it's a side to side shimmy in the steering wheel that used to occur starting at about 60 mph, I then replaced tires and wheels-hoping that the vibration would go away. Well, no luck, it still does it and it's kinda disconcerting. Any suggestions on what else can feel like an out of balance front wheel??? -alignment? warped rotors(they seem OK)? Bushings? steering rack? I'm just not sure where to start, TIA

Tie rod ends (inner and outer), balljoints, control arm bushings, check them all. Also check for too much play in the steering rack at the left end and where the steering gear meets the rack. Check the wheel bearings too.
